These Terms of Use govern your use of fotodb ("Application"), developed by Gezegen Software ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms.

Description of the Application

fotodb is a photo management application that allows users to:

  • Browse photographs stored on their devices

  • Search photographs using tags

  • Read photo metadata

  • Modify selected EXIF metadata fields

  • Organize photo collections

User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining backups of your photographs

  • Reviewing any changes made to photo metadata

  • Ensuring that you have the legal right to access and modify the photographs you use with the Application

Photo Modifications

The Application may modify EXIF metadata within photo files, including but not limited to:

  • User Comment fields

  • Copyright fields

  • Other supported metadata fields

Because metadata modifications affect photo files, users should maintain appropriate backups of important photographs.

Subscriptions

Certain features of the Application may require an active premium subscription.

Subscription payments are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google's billing terms and policies.

Subscription pricing, billing periods, and availability may change in the future.

Intellectual Property

The Application, including its design, source code, graphics, logos, and related materials, is the property of Gezegen Software and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant ownership rights in the Application.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE".

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gezegen Software disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gezegen Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Application.

Users are responsible for maintaining backups of their photographs and data.

Termination

You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Application at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law provisions.
